2017 was a productive year for ICF education and outreach in the Southern California market. Forming Solutions participated in product demonstrations and contractor training events focused on Fox Blocks installation, pour sequencing, and the integration of Insuldeck deck systems with ICF wall construction.
These events serve a practical purpose: they shorten the learning curve for contractors entering the ICF market and reinforce best practices for crews already working with the system. Hands-on training — working through the stacking, bracing, and pour sequence with actual product — produces a different level of understanding than a specification sheet.
We also had the opportunity to connect with architects and developers considering ICF for projects along the San Clemente–Long Beach corridor. Those conversations consistently return to the same themes: fire resilience, coastal durability, and the energy performance advantages of a continuous-insulation envelope.
