The Canyon Acres project archive documents two distinct phases of an ICF build: the active structural pour — concrete pump hose visible, crew managing fill and vibration — and the completed exterior, a finished Southern California home surrounded by mature palms.
The pour phase is arguably the defining moment of an ICF project: concrete fills the void between continuous foam faces, encasing the reinforcing steel and creating a monolithic structural wall in a single operation. Coordination of pump placement, pour rate and vibration determines the quality of the finished wall.
Forming Solutions coordinated material supply and delivery for Canyon Acres. Penna Construction managed the installation and structural pour sequence.
