The Rockbridge Residence demonstrates the finished quality achievable with an all-concrete ICF structural system. From the exterior, the building reads as a carefully detailed custom home; the structural difference — reinforced concrete walls in place of wood framing — is invisible once plastered and painted.
ICF construction at Rockbridge provided a continuous insulating envelope from foundation to roofline. The tight air barrier and concrete thermal mass contribute to consistent indoor temperatures across the year, a meaningful advantage in Southern California's coastal climate.
Forming Solutions supplied Fox Blocks ICF materials and coordinated technical support for the project. Penna Construction performed the ICF installation and oversaw the concrete pour.
